Black Cherry — Prunus serotina
This beautiful fast growing tree can be almost 80 feet tall at maturity. It's berries are an important source of nutrition for various animals. It sports small white flowers in the spring and dark red berries in the fall. It can tolerate a wide range of soil and moisture levels but it grows best in full sun. The twigs and leaves are poisonous to grazing livestock.
